Find Me in the Clouds

Written by Hannah Mosley

i rest my head back against the soft grass,

feeling the prickling and spikes against my skin.

as I close my lids and feel the sun rays blanket across my face,

i wonder what it would be like to get close to her,

i image resting on a cloud as big as a tree,

floating above waters and towns below,

waving to the birds and the planes that pass by,

simply floating above the tiny buildings that now look like toys from my younger years,

would they see me from up above?

would my mama see me floating near the sun?

as i close my eyes and feel the sun,

i imagine what it would be like to float on those clouds,

find me.

find me in the clouds,

feel her glow against your skin too,

float.
