In Response to Concerns

We would like to comment on some issues that have risen concerning an article published in the December issue about Israel by openly addressing the mission of the Vindicator and what we stand for. We run stories that can be incredibly controversial, therefore they are not representative of the opinions of all contributors and staff as a whole, but rather each individual writer. The Vindicator began as a platform for student voices, and its purpose is still the same today. Being contributor based, the magazine quite literally serves as a way for people to speak out when they feel disenfranchised. Please understand that it is our priority to publish current social issues, along with all of the good, the bad, and the ugly perspectives that they may come with. With that being said, we welcome and encourage contributions that express other perspectives on this issue. Our purpose is to promote thoughtful conversations; to get people more inspired to speak out, to share their stories and values, and to provide new perspectives. It is not our intention to offend anyone, and we sincerely apologize if you were.

Thanks for reading, Reese Shebel and the Vindi Staff
