In early October, the CSU student organization Solidarity for Palestinian Human Rights gathered at Cleveland Public Square. The purpose of the gathering was to protest Israel’s inhumane imprisonment of Palestinians. Abbas Hamideh, a prominent Palestinian activist, was a guest speaker. He called upon the people around Cleveland Public Square to educate themselves on how U.S. tax dollars are used to support the Israeli occupation of Palestine
